# Console

**Console** is the central hub for teachers, administrators, and organization managers within Ilmiya. It brings together real-time student analytics, class communication, support ticketing, and a full audit trail — all in one place.

> **Logs** isn’t currently linked from Console’s main navigation — open it directly at `/docs/console/logs/` or bookmark the in-app URL. **Spaces** works the same way: it isn’t in the main nav either, so switch classes from the header class selector, or go straight to the Spaces page.

## What Educators Can Do in Console

-   **Monitor in real time** — See live student engagement, activity trends, and top performers
-   **Communicate** — Run discussion channels, respond to student messages, and manage support requests from one inbox
-   **Audit** — Track actions taken across your organization in a detailed log, searchable by user

## Who Uses Console

| Role | Access |
| --- | --- |
| **Admin** | Everything other roles see, plus the organization-wide view — aggregated data across all classes instead of just one |
| **Everyone else** (Owner, Teacher, and other org members) | Class-scoped dashboard, inbox, discussions, and messages — the same view as Admin, minus the organization-wide switch |

> **Caution**
>
> Role-based access in Console is still limited — Admin is currently the only role with a distinct permission (the organization-wide view). Dedicated Owner, Teacher, and read-only Viewer tiers are planned but not yet enforced.

> **Tip**
>
> Console is scoped to your selected class — make sure you have the right class selected from the header before reading analytics or managing discussions. Only Admins can switch to the organization-wide view, and they do it from the org name inside the class-selector — other roles see an error if they try.
