# Leaderboards

The **Leaderboard** shows how you rank compared to other learners in your organization. Rankings are based on points earned through lessons, activities, and engagement.

<a id="accessing-the-leaderboard"></a>

## Accessing the Leaderboard

1. Click **Awards** in the top navigation.
2.  Select the **Rank** tab.

<a id="what-youll-see"></a>

## What You’ll See

- A **top-3 podium** (1st place in the centre), showing each student’s avatar and points.
- A sortable, searchable, date-filterable table: rank, name, username, points, correct questions, and time spent. It opens scrolled to the page containing your own rank.

With no date filter applied, the table is served from a pre-computed ranking; adding a date range runs a live query over that window instead.

## Campus Has More Than One Leaderboard

Each leaderboard ranks students a little differently — which one you’re looking at depends on where you are in Campus.

<a id="overall-leaderboard"></a>

### Overall Leaderboard

Shown in the **Rank** tab. Ranks you across all your quizzes combined, scoped to your organization (and, where applicable, your class):

```
order by:  total points          ↓  (highest first)           then total time       ↑  (faster wins ties)           then average accuracy ↓           then average speed    ↓           then account age         (older account wins remaining ties)
```

**Points win first** here. “Points” is the same total shown on your [Points](https://ilmiya.com/docs/campus/awards/points-and-streaks/) tab; “Time” is the summed time across all your quizzes.

<a id="lesson-leaderboard"></a>

### Lesson Leaderboard

Shown after you complete a specific lesson. It only counts each student’s **best single completed attempt** on that lesson — not their combined total:

```
order by:  time                  ↑  (fastest first)           then points           ↓           then accuracy         ↓           then speed            ↓           then earliest attempt
```

> **Note**
>
> **Speed wins first** on the Lesson leaderboard — the opposite priority from the Overall leaderboard, where points are checked first.

<a id="improving-your-rank"></a>

## Improving Your Rank

The fastest ways to climb the leaderboard:

1. **Complete more lessons** — every completed lesson adds points
2. **Improve accuracy** — higher scores on lessons earn more points
3. **Maintain daily streaks** — streak bonuses add up quickly
4. **Claim streak bonuses** — don’t leave bonus points unclaimed (see [Points & Streaks](https://ilmiya.com/docs/campus/awards/points-and-streaks/))
5. **Retry lessons** — improving your score on a retry can add more points

> **Tip**
>
> Consistency beats cramming. Logging in every day and completing even one lesson will grow your rank faster than one big session per week.

> **Note**
>
> Leaderboard rankings update in real time. Your position may change as other learners complete activities.
