# Aide

**Aide** is Ilmiya’s dedicated AI assistant portal. Unlike the basic Aide tools embedded inside Campus, the standalone Aide portal is a full-featured environment with persistent chat history, file uploads, AI expert selection, live voice meetings, document generation, and built-in productivity tools.

## What You Can Do in Aide

-   **Chat** — Have text conversations with AI, upload files for analysis, and maintain a full history of past sessions
-   **Use Experts** — Select a domain-specific AI expert (e.g. a science tutor, writing coach) and get focused assistance
-   **Talk** — Have a real-time voice conversation with AI or join a live AI voice meeting
-   **Create Documents** — Ask AI to generate a document or essay, edit it in a rich markdown editor, and download it
-   **Use Tools** — Access a calculator, drawing board, text-to-speech reader, and voice input alongside your chat

## Access Requirements

Aide is feature-gated. Your organization’s administrator must enable it. Individual features within Aide (live meetings, text-to-speech) are also separately controlled by feature flags. Contact your administrator if Aide or specific features are not available.
